| Press info: | On Stage! is an innovative role-playing game based on the comedies and tragedies of William Shakespeare. Every player has a character with a specific goal: at the end of the "play", he can be successful or not. But as in every rpg, winning is not the most important thing: the aim of the game is to put together an enjoyable "show" for the virtual public. On Stage! has been marketed as a boxed set for table gaming. Several expansions have been published, but even when it was still unpublished, game enthusiast from all over Italy who had the opportunity to try the game at shows and conventions developed a huge amount of expansions with the most different settings: from ancient Greek theatre to Star Trek, from the movie "Sabrina" to Robin Hood, from the most popular soap-operas to De Sade, from "Blade Runner" to "Mary Poppins". The game has been also succesfully used in schools and libraries, in educational projects. It has also been used in live shows, with several home rules", with the public voting for the success of the players' actions and coming on the stage to play the role of non-players characters. |
